“Sorrento the kind”… La Gentile Sorrento
Sorrento is one of Italy’s most famous towns that overlooks the Gulf of Naples, the perfect location for a surprise wedding proposal. It is like a balcony over the sea with a view over the Mt. Vesuvius, Naples and Ischia.
Sorrento is a welcoming place with interesting streets to stroll, shops to explore, beaches where you can relax enjoying food specialties lulled by the sea breeze. Sorrento could be the ideal destination for visiting the region as you can take ferries to Capri and Ischia, trains to Pompei and buses to other cities along the famous Amalfi Coast.
Surprise Wedding proposal in Sorrento
Christian and Camila came to Italy in early September with their family to see the native country of their grandmother and visit some other places too. Their cruise stopped by Naples and they had already a trip planned to visit Sorrento, so Christian came up with the idea to do this surprise wedding proposal to her in that evocative location with the stunning background that only Sorrento and the Italian coast can offer. As a specialist wedding proposal photographer, I helped Christian to plan everything at the best to have a smooth and relaxed experience. It is always an honor for me to be part of such a great moment in the life of two people that marks a new start for the couple. When Camila realized that Christian was aboute to propose to her, she start to get emotional and to be honest I was start to shaking too. She said YES and then we start a photoshoot session thorugh the most iconic spots of the city: we started from the pier and then we went up to the Villa Comunale, Corso Italia and the Cattedrale dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo.
It was, as always, a touching experience for me and a great time to rediscover all the places that I’ve known for a long time but that always seem new every time I see them from different perspectives. This is the great opportunity I have when I Photograph a Surprise Wedding Proposal in Sorrento.
After some time I received from Christian this text that I want you to read because, not only it has moved me, but it reminds me of how important photography is in people’s lives:
“Hey Pierpaolo, I just wanted to say thank you, yet again. You captured some unbelievable pictures of one of the best days of our lives and the love of my life. Everyone we showed has loved them. I, we, will cherish them forever.”
